Being outbid immediately for and item. I feel like I'm being outbid by a computer. Without hesitation, every bid place is immediately out bid by only one other bidder. Could this be a fraudulent seller trying to get the most money for their product?! I find it humanly impossible to keep outbidding someone that quickly. Who should I contact about these concerns?

So the "current bid" is not really the "current bid". Friends do it for me too when I can't get to an auction before it starts. I'll give them a limit and they will bid u to that for me. Nothing wrong with the system at all.
If that sounds like too much of a conspiracy theory, consider this: I copy the links of items I'm interested in. I've got to get suspicious. Especially when I check links I Didn't bid on, for the same seller, and I see the same pattern. These are the sellers I stop bidding with - permanently. Example 2 PLEASE, don't even try to tell me some mass-sellers don't have the technological capability to set up automated bids. Again, those are sellers I no longer bid with.
Why not bring this to ebay's attention, you might wonder. Ergo, I didn't waste my time reporting it. Most people probably don't even notice. I just started noticing that last week and today it has be confirmed.
I was bidding on an item no one was watching and I placed a bid now that it's coming to a close I've been out bid I feel they have other accounts or have they friend and family acting like other buyers and jacking up the bid pricing. I I'm feeling it's a scam and after this bid I'm in if i see it again i will not bid on here ever again Its sad that Honesty has left so many places Comments 4. The max bid isn't hidden, which annoys me to no end.
Umm dshepesq No one else sees your hidden bid. Not other bidders, not the seller. Only you can see it. If you place additional bids when you are the current high bidder, they have to be higher than your current bid. That can be less than the current high bidder's maximum bid, as the OP described. Once you outbid them, you become the highest bidder. Comments 0.

Experienced buyers usually just place one bid, for the true maximum that they are willing to pay. Your true maximum bid won't show until you are outbid: Until then, eBay will ue only enough of it to keep you one bid increment ahead of the next-highest bidder. What you need to know about that: The highest bidder as of the end of the auction wins, regardless of when his bid is placed even if it was received in the last second and didn't show on your screen before your countdown got to 0 , but the price is set by the SECOND highest bidder generally that underbidder's highest bid plus 1 bid increment; less if the winner's bid is not a full increment higher than the underbid, including an earlier tie; more if needed to meet the reserve in a reserve listing; the starting bid amount set by the seller if there is only 1 bidder and no reserve.

Re: Is there a way to permanently block seller lis One strategy is to put in a super-high Max Bid, so that a sniper won't be able to overbid in the final seconds. Keep in mind, however, this could mean you end up paying more than you planned for the item. In the final 15 minutes of a listing you will see a "Refresh" link appear on the page of the item that you want to win.
By clicking on this button every second, you will be able to see at the top of the page the current bid price, bid history, time left and high bidder. This is as "realtime" as you can get in the bidding war in the final seconds.
Use the eBay Communication Tools to see when you are outbid so you can re-bid and stay competitive. You can set up your notification settings in the Account Tab under Communication Preferences.
This will allow eBay to send you an email if you're outbid on a listing. You will also receive an email when your Max Bid is beaten by another bidder. Home Internet. Step 1.
