So it does a knockback when you try to tame it? Well well…third time is a charm and I must be one luck person to see this cat as many times as I did in the last 9 days. Absolutly beautiful. Misha Server. I was at skyreach on the half hour and nothing. Decided to fly towards the softknuckles. There was a hunter over there earlier just farming and waiting herself. I though even if loque is there she will have him. I was flying in andthere he was.
I tried to keep my cool. As I was coming in I was looking for anybody else. Noone and where was that hunter that had been there all day? Dont know and now I dont care. First come first serve. I served. Put trap down step on it, as soon as he leaped he hit the trap and I went to taming. I got him!!! Not more the 20 seconds after I got him a blood elf hunter flew in and started rude gesturing me. I just laughed…dont know what to tell ya. Well I thank alot of people here with info I used.
Garwulf for his words of support, thank you. For those who want my info.. Stick around skyreach and the gorilla spawn areas. The 3 are fairly close and easy to get to.
Yeah, that roar of his is pretty damn sexy. I too am a skinner. I made a lot of gold while looking for Krush and Loque. I just decided to take a day to sit. The time before I was just farming leather.
So I am back to actually farming leather and doing my dailies in the zone. No more day camping… I will wait for the accidently coming across him like most the other people. Seems to work hehehe. You might want to just grind Oracle rep or do some questing in the Basin, as opposed to just camping Loque. I started after him at level 76, but did not tame him til I was level It can be a frustrating endeavor, so take a break from it for awhile if need be. Besides, a lot of hunters will be after Gondria next week, which will lessen your competition.
Snubben I am sorry to hear that. Got ganked on my first attempt. I broke my mouse slamming it on the desk. Oh well…another loss for me to as well. This sucks but this time it was my fault and I should have known better and been more prepared.
He spawned right in front of me at 9p to the dot, i watched do so. He pounced on me like I expected. Now I dont know if he can resist traps… I know he can jump them or if it was my latency issue that started 5 minutes before but there was no way I was gonna log out at 5 to 9p and reset.
I know this hour is a hot hour. Anyway he got by the trap so now I am waiting the timer and dodging. Let me tell you he hits like a tank…I used a pot. Time was up on trap, I set it. It trapped him, I went to tame but guess what? Spirit hit was damaging me and pot timer wasnt gonna make it. I could have bandaged but I would have been in the same boat with my trap timer. Basicly all I could do was watch myself die or fiegn death. No matter someone else would have been by. Who knows how many horde.
I was watching my second attempt go down the drain. I died. Came back, loque was dead. If I would have been prepared with larger pots I think I would have had him…stupidity on my part. Think my comp was to blame for the first trap and latency issues latency at the time. I dont know. Note too all, be prepared and dont underestimate his power. He hits pretty hard. I am lvl So my dilema. Do I continue. Two possible tames in 7 days. I am bumbed out like you cant believe.
I started again today but just seem to be losing interest cause of my 2 sightings. I dont have the enthusiasm dont know if I spelled it right or not, dont care, but you know what I am saying. It isnt the time I have 3 weeks going on 4 it is the failure in attempts. Man this sucks. Guess I will keep looking. Just my hopes are not as high. Can the third time be a charm?
It is hard enough to see him once but twice. Three times? Damn Damn!!! I am so dumb sometimes…lol Had to share the story. Just be prepared. I saw people make it look easy but being excited get the shakes lol all play a part in this tame of this illusive cat.
I think im gonna cry :. There are better choices than Wolves for all specs where PvP is concerned. All Hunter specs will benefit from wolves for PvE. Good info and thanks…just wanted some input on it.
My original pet is a wolf. I have Snarler from Feralis and I love that cat. I was a MM hunter and he always did his job just right. I recently converted to BM and got Uveros right away…now after Loque. Cause that furocious howl would do well as MM. Which do you think? That will be my only question out of context to the forum title. For PvE, cats are still better than Spirit Beasts at the moment. For PvP, neither one is better than the other. Blizz is really making an effort to try and normalize pet damage.
I thought I read earlier that some things were going to be changed with the spirit beasts in the next patch.
If there are changes will both spirit beast cats be pretty much equal or is one going to out-wiegh the other. How much do you think that is true and do have your insight or thoughts? Once 3. That should lessen the competition a little.
My story is a bad one. I can make it short though. He invited to group and I went to his spot. Unfortunatly I wasnt flying…hadnt got it yet. Guess what…he did. He dismounted and killed Loque as I was taming. I was so mad I slammed my mouse on the desk and broke it. If there was really a cursing dictionary I used it quite well at that moment.
I just spent so much time already. What are the odds of 2 tames? Misha Alliance is my server so if anyone is on there, in the area and see him give a yell if you dont need him. Are you using a Gorilla by chance. Was having a fine time, pet on defensive so that if anything attacked I could go on with picking, was right across the river from the Base Camp and was attacked. From now on the Basin is a contacts in only zone!
I can only imagine the panic of watching the server restart countdown along with the tame beast timer. Grats Zulzik! You were pretty fortunate to have tamed Loque after only one day of looking. How do you like that roar? Pretty cool huh.
Found this beauty after only one day of farming, it was great! This map helps so much. Just have epic flying, create a target macro and swoop around. A blood elf dk had heard me talking in general about Loque earlier and she was nice enough to group invite me, not wanting to alert the other hunters, and let me get him. Thanks for sharing that story Orioness, and congratulations.
I always appreciate those tales more than some level 76 talking about how they found Loque within five minutes of their first trip to the Basin. Btw, what is this autoclicker mod you were talking about? This is my first character made and I love my hunter. I decided to look into all the beasts in WoW and see what cools pets they have. So I became determined to find her. I go a bunch of information on her from reading all these comments everyone posted and from a bunch of other sites.
So I camped 8 days, and about hours a day. I had my friend on looking for me too. I flew around and around without leveling for 5 days without a single hit, no dead Loque, nothing.
So I decided to look more into it and I got someone elses input on how her spawn timer was linked with King Krish and Aotona so I macroed them as well. From then I made another friend that told me they would help me and was level They searched as much as I did. Oh and by the way, I dont have an epic flying mount so it takes awhile to get to every spawn point but my new friend did Anyways, I logged on two days ago and my new friend told me that they just killed him.
So I woke up in the middle of the night to get her and found that I was an hour early server time and local time confsed me so I went back to bed for an hour and when I got back on and posted my message, someone said they saw him an HOUR ago!!! So all yesterday I was on, no luck:- Well last night I got a text from a friend saying he spawned, but my phone was on vibrate while I was sleeping. I missed 3 chances to get this beast. So today I was going to stay on ALL day from morning till night just in case.
Well after I got done with a batlle ground I hearthed back to Sholazar Basin. I noticed a yellow name by one of the black gorillas and found it odd and then saw it had a tail and then it clicked!!! After 8 days I finally found her!!! Coordinates 71,71 ; I started heading towards the ground and it was the longest flight to land in the world so half way I just dismounted.
I recently got a dreadsaber to fight just in case I needed a pet so I had to abandon it. Well now that I had that out of the way, I had to tame Loque…. While juggling Krush and the multiple Wasps he kept fearing us into a Lock came along and killed him. I still got the achievement, but I could honestly care less about it. I wanted my pet Yoshi! I wish I would have read these comments before I attempted this I'm on the Black Wing Lair server.
Comment by Tonyd23 Hey, I used the above macro posted earlier to tame him. I entered an AV every half an hour while in Basin, got full buffs and then left. With Kings, Fort, etc my stats went up greatly. After the tame was done I had a considerable amount of HP left. Not sure of the exact amount but I would say a good 7, to 8, He's by far the coolest pet in the game and besides the removed pets, the rarest.
Two hours later, Krush spawned as well. The bird is no where as cool though, lol. I dismount, use my free action potion, deterrence and start taming him. I start smiling thinking he is mine and all of the sudden: BANG! I try again a few more times and fail every time. I could not believe it since the day before I was almost done taming without any problems before the NPCs at the camp killed him.
So finally I ask for a healer in the area and comes and heals me. Well, after a few minutes of fears and running out of mana, both I and the healer, he kills us both. So we go at it again and 3 times right at the last moment he fears me. You still get feared. I would trinket out of the first fear and would get feared again a couple of seconds right after multiple times. At the wasp site or Nesingwary Camp seems to be harder since there are more mobs or the NPCs that can kill you or him.
I started taming him without any damage and healer got aggro and pulled him away from me. I know.. I would do damage until you get feared that way you have higher chance of taming him at the first go. If he spawns at the Nesingwary camp, pull him far away from camp so the NPCs that patrol the camp don't kill him. I would also like to add that Aotona seems to be the rarest of the 3.
In all the time that I spent looking, saw Aotona only once and was my first tame. Saw Loque twice and King Krush 3 times. Also, I found them in the order I was looking for to tame. Well, I was first looking for Loque but found Aotona. Found Loque next day twice. First time another Hunter was taming it and second time I got him. Weird no? Comment by i've already camped him over 2 weeks and only saw him spawn once.
Didnt circle the map I camped at glimmering pillar and he spawn after first 4 days of camping.. Comment by I, too, found him north of Nesingwary Base Camp. I was raising my skinning and saw a Devilsaur and was like "Those aren't in the Basin.. The bag after being opened gave 10g and a stack of Frostweave Cloth. Quite easy to take down at It also counts in the Northrend Exposure achievement. Comment by Darleese Spotted and killed He was the last spawn I required for my Frostbitten achievement.
I did 3 minute laps around the Basin for a total of Spotted him right around 61, During my searches I never saw his corpse, or a hunter taming him. I'm finally OUT of the Basin. Comment by Spotted him today at 29,58 Llane Server pm. I had no healer, and he almost killed me despite using beastial wrath and abandoning my pet right away AND having PVP gear on.
I quickly whispered three druids in Sholozar, and one immediately answered. I asked him to heal me and I would pay him handsomly. Comment by Vdemise Judging if server restarts reset the spawn timers hours depending on the spawn , KK is roughly a hour spawn timer. Planned out to visit his spawn points 8 hours later, wound up sitting in spots for an extra hour only to find a corpse. Comment by Hole Just followed him for a bit before someone else killed him.
Here's the path he took: Map Link. Comment by aceman67 Engineers should have a higher chance of getting this guy by shear luck. Solo-taming King Krush will definitely be a challenge now! He was being killed by one of my guild mates, I whispered him to stop and he did. I had haste from gear, a trinket that procs for another , and a potion of speed, food buff, and elixir. I got into position, sent my trash pet in, I used the macros listed above by others, waited for my trinket to proc, hit the second macro and started the tame.
It went off without a hitch the first time. I had about 4k health left of my 24k i started with. I'm so lucky it was a guildy of mine who was killing him at the time. I love this beauty, he was worth the effort and gold I spent on haste gear. A couple things to note on spawn time.
When he spawned the first time when I had just missed him, he spawned early, at pm. Today, it was at pm, just under 6 hours after realm restart. I still don't know what the pattern is. GL to all those trying to tame this bad boy. It was a an epic solo adventure. I haven't seen another hunter with him on my server Doomhammer. Comment by Cuddl3s found this guy east of the frenzyheart camp. I've been searching for a week. That's not a long time, but I mean really pouring my heart into searching, trying to find this big boy because he's not only unique, he's the reason I made my hunter.
But I learned what true mean was I went looking, because it's not my big Green Meanie but I have 5 stable slots after all. I used it's target function, bam! Right under me Then- I swooped down, and I was in a Dino's mouth. Krush had spawned too!
They were right on top of each other! So I dropped down, I was in the haste gear, and using the other parts of this comments, I hasted up. I dropped down, bestial wraith He didn't fear me, or if he did, it failed I was taming, taming, got him down to 1 second, and I was low health, bam!
I dropped. I had 16k I freaked! I invited a paladin friend, ran back This is at skyreach, graveyard is close by time I res'd the paladin was there, and I sat up to grab King, but he was engaged, someone had not only killed Loque, but was after Krush. Of course They wouldn't have it. They killed him, so they got them both at once. Moral of the story- No-one likes you in game, there is no mercy, and no kindness.
Don't expect anyone to help you, and certainly don't expect to tame Krush with Alliance around. Edit: Tamed Loque. Now, I just need the big one. Edit: Saw Krush at 6 this morning. I hopped on before work. I saw him, attempted to tame him, to find I didn't have enough health. I invited a shaman to group, in hopes of getting the tame- it turned out with the shaman in group, Krush had someone to charge at, and low and behold, no tame.
Given that I was extremely late to work, I have decided- I will give up on these little obsessions, and I will wait until I am better geared, with more health, and I have enough haste to make it work. Comment by I was doing my usual farming when i went around Sky Reach and I saw a huge devilsaur, sadly i didn't have bm at the time, and i checked the people in the basin to see if there were any hunters looking for him, but the only one there was right next to me, taking a node that i was going for then left, so then i killed him and got the acheivement plus loot, id rather have seen loq, but we'll see : killed around am server time.
Comment by I was able to tame King Krush at South east corner of the map. I've tried taming it before the first fear and and after as well, but I was feared through that small window both occasions.
This mob is rare and easy target you can't miss him even without a mod , even if you come prepared it'll be best if you get help from a nearby shaman or priest by offering them a compensation, unless you are lucky enough to have a friend or two around when you spot this guy.
In short, I received a bloodlust from nearby shaman and was able to tame without playing more RNG, he is hard enough to find why risk more? Comment by Just killed it servertime. Found it yesterday just the same time, at exact same spot, but druid was already killing it. So the spawnrate is most likely 24 hours possibly 6 or Comment by ClibSub I just soloed him in about 1 Minute.
Lvl 76 DK! I found him west of the Camp. Whats his respawn time? Comment by Finally! I got him by the Glimmering Pillar. Toke my brothers shammy to help me but i was frustrated couse it failed so many times couse the fear. But finally i was at the last 3 seconds of the tame and he dint fear. Got him! Was so happy named him Krush also. Comment by Argh! I circled non-stop for a long time today and finally found him at PM sever time!
Someone had JUST killed him. I was checking his other spawn points apparently when he had spawned. Moral of the story: be quick if you want him! Get some help if you can. Well - guess I have 6 hours to kill before I start looking again! Edit: 18 minutes later, Aotona was up. Edit 2: Found him again at 10 PM server near Nessingwary. Two alli ganked me and the person helping me tame and then killed him.
Edit 3: Logged in a bit late today as I was out and about all day. Found him at PM server, already dead, near Skyreach Pillar.
Comment by The horror, the horror Aotona, Loque and King Krush are all tameable, and all 3 are part of the Frostbitten achievement. This sucks bigtime. They are the last 3 I need for Frostbitten, and I have spotted all 3 and past on killing them, a hunter of my faction showed up each time and wanted to tame them.
This is just a terrible desicion by Blizz. I know of hunters who have spent weeks in Sholazar waiting for Loque. Having them part of the Frostbitten achievement is just an evil desicion by Blizz.
Comment by Here is a tip for mac users trying to find this one create a applescript to keep you from logging out this totally makes camping a passive thing and all you need do is listen for npc scan to go off here is what i use copy and paste into script editor it will make character jump every 3 min for 12 hours repeat times tell application "System Events" tell application "World of Warcraft" to activate key code 49 end tell delay end repeat.
Comment by yorkiemum You have a point, chungking. In the first 18 mos of warcraft I played my druid and that was it. Healer burn out hit and I began a hunter. Before that, I just didn't understand as well as I do now how a hunter might feel about their pet. Changing the BM spec so that they can tame exotics, and having many of those on frostbitten is frustrating for all.
Even more so is the fact that many will kill aotona, krush and loque because they know a hunter is near and looking to tame it. Often has nothing to do with the desire to complete the achievement. I once added something to the suggestion forum asking about some way to alter taming so that once it has begun, one can't kill the animal to stop the taming. On a PvP server, I'm not sure that would be fair.
Or if it would be doable in any way on any server. I have no idea, just a thought. Two nights ago I found loque by the white apes while I was mining with my druid. My main hunter has it and I remembered seeing another hunter by the skyreach pillar.
The name was easy though to remember and I quickly whispered her. She was in dalaren. I told her "I was hovering above the cat, try to get here, but don't get your hopes up". This was almost 2 am I saw no one else for close to 10 plus minutes until she got to me. I'm still amazed, just because there might not have been another hunter in the area, does not mean that someone would not have killed it-just to kill it. In any case, I am at least glad it worked out for this hunter who had been looking for loque since last september.
Probably at this point the only sure way to get tame the pet you want, or obtain the achievement you need, is to wait for the next xpac when everyone will have a lot of new things to do, including finding new pets. For those still looking for krush, keep looking. I found him walking out of the area where I expected loque to be. Came walking through 2 trees where the white apes are toward the wasps. May be the only reason he lasted. But then again, I was looking for the cat, I would have seen a huge green dyno.
I was tired, but not blind. I think he may have spawned just before I saw him. I have never seen him in that area since. I've seen him near nessingway, around the ogres, makers perch usually it's been his body.
So check even the less popular places. I'm sure I'd have seen him more often as I run alts through there, but with skinning, he could be tamed or killed and skinned in the time it takes to circle the area. It's a bit old and tired now; was meant to discourage young hunters for a few hours- but still seems to go on. Comment by Found him tonight by the Glimmering Pillar I was about to log for the night and he spawns right under me. So while I'm trying to fight them off alone and eventually feign thanks to abandoning Shango, a Night Elf shows up and shoots him down.
I saw a previous comment saying hour timer Comment by Sandraisevil what you could do is put down a frost trap and then tame him that's the easy way! So that might be why he is so hard to find! I was just North of Sparktouched haven. It was around pm EST on Fenris server. Comment by Goddamn, why do you stupid hunters tame this pet? Comment by sunsun2k 24 hours ago , I tracked its dead body by npcscan 48,44 and I feel sad Just few minutes ago, I tracked a live one, and I killed him 30,54!
Hope this helps :. Story goes like this had seen him 5 times previously 4 times was mid-tame when opposite faction came and killed him gave me a quick rude salute and off they went. The times he spawned were am at the Glimmering pillar, then pm at spot where shango pats, third and fourth times were at pm at glimmering pillar in my time camping for him this was the place he most spawned for me and other hunters that had seen him dead.
Today when taming he had spawned at the spot where the wasps are near pack of white and the one black gorilla, tried taming him failed as he did his knockback move after I hit my taming macro and killed me. Ran back tamed a wasp sent it in and when he feared it the macro failed and he killed me again.
He patted all the way on the other side of the pillar and over by the 2 gorilla spot where Loque spawns tamed a Gorilla sent him in he feared the gorilla I made sure I was close to krush hit the taming macro and 15 seconds later he was mine. All of the posts here I could not have done this without all of your help he is by far the toughest tame in the game but once you get him it is all worth it.
The macros are indispensible you would need to have pretty nimble fingers to achieve what the macros above do for you. You will not be able to do this tame without a minimum of 1. Good luck to all hunters trying to tame him it is a tough road but the end is sweet!
This was a solo tame. Comment by i tracked him dead at Comment by Lorekin I am so! I have been looking for Krush for months. I was starting to think he was a myth on my server Thorium Brotherhood. Finally, tonight, around am, he spawned.
I was ecstatic, my heart was racing. I charged in to tame him, hardly able to sit still in my chair! Well he managed to fear me a lot anyway. And knock me back. I chased him around, feigned death a lot, even died 3 times.
She relented and I nearly cried from happiness. Started to tame him again when the guards at Nessingwary Base Camp were so kind to freaking kill him halfway through my tame. I am so angry right now. They should not make those guards attack mobs like that, or if they want the "game to feel more real and have the NPCs interact with the enviornment", howabout not make a freaking incredibly rare mob pat right by a town? Comment by sledgep Found, and Killed him just now.
He was the last one i needed for Frostbitten. Comment by Eijkoba Probably the hardest pet I've ever tamed and hardest to find. Read alot of tips and tricks from the comments here and must admit they sure helped alot. Seeked him around 2 weeks and gave up, till a few days ago a guildie of mine spotted him. As Im survival atm, went to Orgrimmar fast as lightning and respeced to BM.
Taming required help from 5 guildmates well only one is required to have, a healer and now I can proudly say that I'm owner of the one most epic looking pet in WoW at the moment. Comment by Matsumi Finally after about two months of camping I bagged this guy to complete my Frostbitten achievement at on the dot around the glimmering pillar 48, Comment by iseedeadpeople anyone has seen him recently?
Comment by bruenir I killed KK for Frostbitten on my Pally a few days ago Lothar server and today was hunting for him to tame, but didn't have enough haste. I tried 5 times before a belf mage came and killed him but by that time it was obvious I was not ready to tame so i didn't even get angry.
Not much I could do. More haste is necessary, obviously. Comment by Just thought I would tell a brief story of my exploits this morning. I have been hunting Loque'nahak in Sholazar off and on for a long time. I got up this morning to fly around SB and went to the usual places and low and behold there was Loque. I landed, abandoned my pet, dropped a freezing trap, concussion blasted him and tamed him.
Easy tame once you find him. For my fellow hunters who may be interested, he was at 51,81 in SB and I tamed him at a. So, on to look for Arcturus. But first let's take a quick look for King Krush. I have seen him 2 times in the last week with no luck in taming him. The first time he killed me and before I could get back to him, a horde came along and killed him.
Last Sunday I got into an epic battle with him that lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes. A Priest friend of mine was with me for the last half hour trying to help with the fear and damage. In the end we ended up losing him to another hunter who tamed him.
That is another story. Back to this morning. I head to The Glimmering Pillar. Holy Mackeral! So I stable Loque, go tame a Rhino and come back and he is still there. Close, but no cigar. I feign death and live. Then I go tame another Rhino.
Rinse, repeat. I die this time cause another rhino attacks me along with King. I Run back Eat, tame croc, look for KK. This time I have company. A horde hunter is floating around as well as a Pally. For what ever reason, they don't make a move on him. Maybe they took pity on me. I figure I have one more try, then off to work. This time the stars align and BAM!
I tame him. Man, what a rush. My heart was pounding. Tamed him at a. My advice, stack up on haste and stamina.
Also, use a macro. I would not have been able to tame him without the advice in this thread. Thanks to all of the previous posters for your advice. Maybe I should go play the lottery. Now we need to get Blizzard to add more space in the stables. I'd like to have Arcturus and Skoll. Comment by lyphe By far, the hardest rare spawn to find in the game. Not only do you have a million hunters looking for him, but you've also got the rare spawn chasers trying to kill him.
On top of that, the local NPC's will kill him if they spot him before you do. All those elements have the potential to see you chasing this guy for months like I did. Best bet seems to be to choose one of the three spawn points and wait. That is how I finally got him. I sat and hovered near his northern spawn point. Good luck in your search! My first attempt was blown to dashes when several folks started hovering above me, and one, a mage, "Thought I needed help" and obliterated Krush while I was trying to tame a trash pet and my husband was keeping Krush entertained.
I took this all in and worked on my macros to better streamline the process. So I decided to click one and then the other manually. You can't. There is a lapse of about seconds. With time being so critical with Krush, this option doesn't seem viable. I don't see a realistic way to get around it. I'm assuming all haste on use items do this.
Thought I'd give a heads up in case someone was going to try this route as well - and also see if there was advice as an alternative to better increase haste. I've not yet made my new attempt at King Krush. I logged on, and there he was sitting beneath me. It was all the time I had, as I was quickly looking to tag him before someone came along and nipped my chances in the bud.
Tossing on a Scorpid Sting , I waited for him to fear. He feared. In fact, this all went so smoothly, I'm actually a little in shock. Unfortunately I do not have the exact numbers to report the tame time it needed. Comment by It took me a week of patrolling Sholazar to find him. Today I decided to check before I took a break for lunch, and he happened to spawn as I flew by Skyreach Pillar, near the wasps nest at PM server time.
Three failed attempts trying on my own, the first attempt I had one second left to tame and he feared, the second and third he feard halfway through so I feigned.
If you can, find a priest for fear ward, it makes things so much more easier! Cannot stress this enough Things I used; 1. Send in pet, hit BW, abandon pet. Pop a Potion of Speed then start taming. Comment by So I'm a lock trying too get the kill on one of the 3 Basin rares for the achievement.
EST a. Hope this helps with figuring out spawns. Comment by Boydv3 Ok I solo tamed this one tonight on Galakrond with my level 77 hunter. I had tried 4 times previous to tame this guy and was amazed at how difficult it is to do.
Tonight I decided to give it one last go. I did as all the previous posts suggested stamina gear , speed pots, food with haste buff, stamina scroll, macros. This is by no means a specc to use for leveling or anything other than to tame this beasty. It took three tries but on the last attempt I tamed him with 4k health left with all the buffs I was starting at 21k. The damage was not a huge issue the only problem on the first 2 tries I would get feared in the last 1.
On the issue of spawn times I have hunted King for 6 days and he seems to spawn regularly between 6 and 7 hours apart and every time I saw him maybe 6 times in all it was at the beginning of the hour. I was able to estimate the 2 hour window of possible spawn times and log in 10 minutes before and log out ten mins after it changed to the second hour.
Granted there is some randomness as 2 of the times I logged in I did not see him at any of his spawn points. In my previous tries the damage he would do would always kill me. The differences in this succesful try were some cheap greens "of stamina" the 2 talents from the survival tree and waiting until he feared my trash pet before hitting the macros.
Good luck all I hope this helps in some way. The name was given long before taming by my children Reptar is now my pet of choice.
Comment by guntitan Got him about AM server time. No priest to help me. After several failed attempts. This time I used my PVP gear for extra stamina. Maybe I'll edit this later. I was expecting another Terrifying Roar to go off.
I was lucky it didn't. Comment by Zakton This guy could be a subtle reference to Donkey Kong Country, wherein the reptile enemies almost always had names that started with K. Used all hastes and BW to get it done asap had it down to 12 sec cast, sent throwaway pet in and waited till he actually feared the oet first so it was on cooldown for him then dumped and tamed, just got it! Also the screenshot of the dead Krush is super depressing to see for hunters I'm sure :.
Comment by Ouch! Comment by I need to know what level of BM you need, I unlearned my tree twice, after reading that you need 5 points in it, then tried to tame one of em at Un Guro, nothing happened. I'd gladly spend tons of gold to redo my tree, just need to know what level of beast mastery I'm gonna need. Had a bubble up on me and managed to get him tamed easily without him fearing a second time. The first fear went off while Bestial Wrath was still ticking, after he'd knocked me down.
The lovely Njaalkeme and I are now off to get him leveled up to 80 and my gear back in a more serviceable state. Comment by Thaggius OK i see it spawned 6 hours after reset. I see pally killing it, pally sees me and partys me, a whole bunch of wasps come and interfere.
Comment by Naturell This folks, is Yoshi on steroids. He was walking NE toward the big lake in the upper left of the map. Comment by so after reading all this about king krush, i attempted to tame him on live. Comment by bloodpaw I was flying around helping my boyfriend find some seronite when someone on the general chat says that King Krush has spawned and if anyone wanted it. I quickly land right next to him and I have Gondria as my pet I cant do this without a priest so I quickly call my boyfriend to bring his priest over.
When he logs on he is in dalaran so i wait for him closely following the big dino. Finally my bf gets here and I ask him if he is ready and he gives me a thumbs up. His ID should already be on there under the Northrend section, if it isn't for some reason his ID is Hope that helps! A friend found him for me and as I was taming him his pet accidentally killed him Saturday, September 3, King Krush.
He can be found in Sholazar basin patrolling in three different locations which are indicated in red on the map below. He is one of three rares located in this zone, all of which are unique tamable hunter pets. The other two rares are Loque'nahak spirit cat and Aotona parrot. Unfortunately for all of the hunters out there looking to tame him, he is part of the Northern Exposure and Frostbitten achievements so people will be hunting him down intent on killing him. He was the rare that I actually received my Frostbitten achievement on.
H e drops King's Eyesocket which is a level 74 bind on equip ring with a random enchant. Like other Northrend rares, he also drops Abandoned Adventurer's Satchel, which generally contains about 20 gold, a full stack of frostweave cloth, and often times a few crystallized elements.
He is unfortunately part of the Frostbitten Achievement, way to go Blizz I didn't want to kill him King Krush is a tamable hunter pet.
Please note that because he is a hunter pet that even though you may not have seen him before in Sholazar Basin it doesn't mean that he isn't already cached by NPCScan.
