Power adapter for the kinect just seems to be a passthrough. Kinect into it, then a usb to the console and a plug to the wall. Power lines off to the wall, data lines to the console. Microsoft dismissed the reports in public and repeatedly emphasized that Kinect would be fully compatible with all Xbox consoles.

Microsoft indicated that the company considered Kinect to be a significant initiative, as fundamental to Xbox brand as Xbox Live, and with a planned launch akin to that of a new Xbox console platform. While the Xbox will no longer be made, Microsoft will continue to support current hardware units. In addition, Xbox Live will continue to work for the Xbox consoles that are still using it, and Xbox games and accessories will also continue to be sold. Two tips related to this: 1 Be sure you go through the steps to setup the facial recognition, otherwise the games may log you in as guest because they do not recognize you 2 When in doubt, use a controller.

If you press the XBox button on your controller, you should get an option to "Sign In", even if facial recognition failed. Most Kinect games don't have much of an online component, other than DLC, so I doubt it is required in your case. Sign up or log in Sign up using Google. Sign up using Facebook. The only space big enough to use the Kinect sensor in my home does not have internet access and therefore obviously cannot access Xbox Live. These problems seem to have cropped up following a recentish update February, I think.

As a result these games are now worthless to me! Please help. Hey Fonder! As Mister Darcy said, we're investigating the issue and will post back when we have any updates. I'll need an answer too. We just received a repaired and updated console back from Microsoft, and now I cannot login to play Disneyland Adventures offline. I can see the autosave from previously playing the game on my hard drive, but when I try to login, it requires me to connect to Xbox Live in order to play, otherwise I have to disable saving, which as I'm sure you know makes the entire game useless.

I have attempted to change the Cloud settings, and they are currently set to disabled. That did not fix the problem. We are not interested in connecting to Xbox Live at this time. We have no internet access - wireless or cable, and had NO problems playing this game before sending the console in to be repaired. Also, the game, when bought, did not require the extra expense of Xbox Live. I also tried Frontier's half-assed suggestion to re-set your Kinect profile and that will fix it.

Yeah, right. Nice try. I'll be thrilled to be able to play the game with my son again for whom we bought the kinect and this game.
